Your Life is Better Than You Realize

What would you sacrifice for the one you love?

Life can be so hard sometimes. We all work hard to build great lives for ourselves, and we do the best we can with the resources we have.

But what if your version of “hard” was actually a blessed life for someone else?

In a world where people are praying for drinking water, living on the streets and fighting terminal illnesses, we have to realize that our “bad” is another person’s dream life.

One beautiful soul who is helping people struggling with senseless pain is my remarkable sister, AnnaLynne McCord.

As a successful actress in Hollywood, it would be easy for her to live the fabulous life that many dream of. She could easily find contentment on the set of (one of my #1 favorite shows) Secrets and Lies, on ABC,  or her film, Zealous.

But my sister has dedicated her life to making a global difference as a human rights activist. She serves as President of her organization, Together1Heart, where she and her team rescue girls sold into sex trade. Helping to rehabilitate them at their center in Cambodia, these girls receive unconditional love, food, education and a future.

Understanding the reality of the situation is heartbreaking. How can I complain about tiny inconveniences in my life, knowing that these girls, some as young as two and three years old, are living lives of hopelessness when sold into slavery.

This heartbreaking epidemic serves as a reminder that without the work of incredible people like my sister, Somaly Mam and their team, these beautiful souls would be forgotten.

So why are we talking about this right now? Because they need your help. These girls need food, shelter, education and, most importantly, love.

I know it sounds like a lot but you can make a huge difference! This holiday season, why not challenge yourself to bring some much needed cheer to these beautiful girls who have seen so much pain in their lives?

Here is how you can help!
