Your Grocery List For Healthy Skin

We have always heard beauty comes from within … well, now there is proof!

Your skin shows when you are not consuming the nutrition you need. And, while it is great to use skincare products that help keep your skin clean and moisturized, to truly achieve healthy skin, you have got to start from the inside out.

Remember, I am not a doctor, if you have allergies or health issues, please call someone who actually gets paid to tell you what to do (no, not your mom) — your doctor. 🙂

Below are lists of foods you can consume to help your skin stay healthy, firm, and hydrated from the inside.

Hydration:

Dry skin can lead to acne breakdowns when your skin over-produces natural oil to try and regulate. If you need natural solutions to dry skin, try eating the following:

Dark leafy greens

Cucumbers

Strawberries
Watermelon

Pineapple
Healthy Fats:

Healthy fats help skin your skin moisturizer and protects it from environmental factors. When you focus on balanced foods, that contain natural oils, it will give back your skin’s natural glow.

Fatty fish (such as salmon)

A tablespoon of oil (olive, hempseed, grapeseed and flaxseed oils are good options)

Handfuls of flax seeds, chia seeds or walnuts added to cereals, oatmeals or smoothies

Avocados
Antioxidants:

Oranges

Limes

Lemons

Grapefruits

Blackberries

Raspberries

Skin Firming Foods:

Poultry

Eggs (specifically egg whites)

Cod

Crab

Lobster

Oysters

Bell peppers

Sweet potatoes

Sunflower seeds

Sesame Seeds

Almonds

Raisins

Aduki beans

Kidney beans

Soybeans

Chickpeas

Seaweed
