Vegan Nail Polish For Your Mani Monday!
Everyone is LA is always looking for more ways to be healthy and organic. I think that’s great but even better when it doesn’t cost more time, money, or inconvenience.
Is that awful of me to admit?
I think recycling should be easy (it’s so important, after all), non-GMO should be a given, pesticides are not designed for ingestion (last I checked), and do I really need to talk about the issue of meat stuffed with hormones?
Come on people!
Okay, okay, I will calm my passionate millennial side.
Anyway, to help you (and me) reach a healthier lifestyle, why not try vegan with our nail polish?
Nubar was founded in 2000 as a healthy alternative to gorgeous nails. After being affected by cancer in his entire family, the founder, Noubar Abrahamian, decided to develop a nail polish free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP (phthalate).
I had no idea what the risks associated with those chemicals were, but, fortunately, Noubar did.
Formaldehyde has been classified as a known human carcinogen (cancer-causing substance) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
Inhaling toluene has potential to cause severe neurological harm.
I am in over my head with all these words that I can’t pronounce. But, when brought to my attention, I am down to transition out of using products with cancer-causing substances.
Please note, NuBar gifted me the product. I am the opposite of a doctor or someone you should take medical advice from. Please refer to your doctor, mom, or anyone else (who likes telling you what to do) for that.
