Movie date in LA!

One of my fabulous besties accompanied me to the premiere of The Lookalike movie

The Lookalike stars Justin Long (best known for Dodgeball & Accepted, Jerry O’Connell (Jerry Maguire), Gillian Jacobs, Scottie Thompson, Steven Bauer, Gina Gershon, Luis Guzman, and John Corbett (Sex and the City) – a lot of people in other words.

The premiere took place at the Los Felix Theatre on Vermont.

The spot was … Nice. 🙂

No, I’m kinda kidding. It was cute. You know …

I will say, this premiere was definitely full of the who’s who of Hollywood though.

It’s obvious that the PR team and actors have a pretty epic pull with the “in crowd” of Los Angeles.

Anyway! Back to me! 🙂

Gosh! I am so embarrassing.

Oh well!

For my style snap, I wore a pair of J.O.A. sequin shorts

With a cropped, blue sweater from The Hanger

And some cream sling-back pumps from Stuart Weitzman.

Okay, back to my day job …

I loved how the PR company thought to provide water on each of the seats

Finally! Someone treats me like the G List celebrity I think I am!

Okay, okay … movie review:

The storyline was about a character, Sadie, whose death propels an ex basketball champion, a deaf beauty, an addict, and an aspiring actress into an unlikely romance and a desperate quest to appease drug lord William Spinks.

Personally, I really liked it!! It was suspenseful, unpredictable, and the acting was on point!

It was a little weird at times because there were so many story lines happening that didn’t make a ton of sense.

For example, I didn’t get the ex basketball champion piece until the last 30 minutes. I was like, umm, why is he asking for his autograph?

I liked it though! It’s rare that movies these days keep you guessing the way this one did.

I don’t know if an Oscar is in their future, but I had a blast getting sucked it!

The best past about going to movie premieres and screenings to be supportive to the cast and crew, is that you never really know what you are going to get …

Is it going to blow my mind?

Keep me up at night?

Change my life?

Or, is it going to put me to sleep faster than melatonin? 🙁

This movie was actually really awesome! I had a blast! I was just sad that I had to bounce to event number two instead of checking out the after-party!

Let me know how you move from walking the red carpets to living them @TheMcCordList or in your comment below!
