Lindsay’s Top 4 Tips To Staying Inspired & Confident

I was hanging out with one of my favorite fabulous women in my network and we got to chatting about her best advice, tips and tricks to staying inspired and confident while turning a hobby into a lifelong dream of a business!
My fabulous friend Lindsay Nathanson, photography & baking connoisseur, recently made the move from the Big Apple to sunny Southern California! Apart from being an amazing photographer and baker, she also runs the immensely popular blog Sprinkles For Breakfast – where fans can find delicious baking recipes for any occasion!
Lindsay believes there are so many different ways to approach running your own business/brand, but her best advice to other aspiring content creators would have to be to stay true to who you are and what you love and don’t get discouraged by comparing yourself to others. Everyone has their own journey!

Lindsay’s Top 4 Tips To Staying Inspired & Confident:
1. Never be closed off to finding inspiration.
Inspiration is a funny thing because it can present itself in so many different forms! I have been inspired by something as small as a song on the radio to something as big as a hike to the top of a mountain! But my favorite source of inspiration is definitely Instagram. I love scrolling through and seeing all the amazing ideas people come up with.
2. Love what you do.
I started the Sprinkles for Breakfast blog as a final for a class project in November of 2012. I continued to post every once in a while, and people started telling me they loved reading my posts. So in 2014, I decided to turn my hobby into a business. I started studying food photography, working on new recipes, and began blogging every week! I love the creative freedom that comes with Sprinkles for Breakfast. There are no limits when it comes to blogging! I think of something in my head and then head to the kitchen to see if I can make it! It is my absolute dream job!
3. Follow your gut.
My mom always taught me to follow my gut. I think that is such an important lesson in a world where there are so many different people trying to tell you what you should and shouldn’t do.
4. Ignore the hate.
I say, ignore all the haters and the people who think they have it all figured out and do what you think is right. It may not always be easy, but success lies within confidence.

Love you so much! Thank you for reading!
