My fabulous friend Kit Graham combines her passions for food and travel through her Instagram and blog The Kittchen, which started almost five years ago when her friends set up a basic blog as a birthday present one year… all so they could have easy access to her delicious recipes. If you love good food and fascinating destinations, then Kit’s your girl!

When following your dreams, Kit wisely says it is important to be realistic. Pursue your passions, but tackle everything responsibly. For instance, Kit waited a long time to see where her blog went before she finally decided to quit her 9-5 job.
Bonus: Kit has such a passion for inspiring others to pursue their passions, she actually co-founded an additional blog and Instagram that is dedicated to connecting Chicago-based bloggers.

Kit’s 4 Tips to Killing the Blog & Instagram Game:

 1) Don’t get stuck in the comparison game. Never compare your beginning to other people’s middle. Kit says that it’s important to be persistent when following your dreams and to avoid getting discouraged by the success of others.

2) Focus on sharing amazing images. The images you share bring people in and get them to read your blog posts. Quality definitely matters according to Kit.

3) Connect with other bloggers. Stay inspired by spending time with other bloggers and collaborating with them. Kit even recommends trying things like virtual dinner parties where everyone is blogging on different aspects of the same topic.

4) Avoid any blocks in creativity by checking your calendar. Kit says that if she ever needs a creative jolt she checks out upcoming holidays and events to get ideas.
