I hate the Holidays!!

They are hard, right? If the main concern was that crazy burn from the oven or the lines at Ralph’s, it wouldn’t be that bad …

But let’s discuss your options …

1) You skip the Holidays. Too much drama! Aunt Betty is crazy and the parents want to ask you AGAIN why you are single. Skip that shh**!  Grab a blanket, Netflix and chill the day away.

2) Hold your breath and lean into the craziness. Sneak out every 20 minutes for a break and then spend $500 with a therapist everyday next week.

The truth is, the Holidays can suck! But here’s the deal … there is no perfect day. There is no perfect family member, friend or relationship.

The best we can do is cry when we feel like it maybe even run outside and throw ice cubes at the wall … but then come back and remember that we are all doing the very best we can with what we have.

No, life is not perfect, neither are the Holidays, we have let downs and disappointments on the regular … but we are still standing. We still show up and do the best we can with what we have.

So let’s be grateful for what we have and try to find the humor in everything else!

Ps … never forget the power of a little glass of wine to cut the edge off when your cousin drives you a little crazy!
I love you! Happy Thanksgiving!! 🙂
