3 Tips to Being a Smart Shopper
Some people live to shop and others… not so much. Here are my top three tips for the shopping impaired!
1) Find unique pieces at amazing places like Urban Nomads’ pop-up shops.
If shopping isn’t your thing, then combine business with pleasure and check out a pop-up shop. I’m not a huge fan of shopping personally, but I love to make a night of it and spend time with my friends at Urban Nomads’ events! These pop-up shops have amazing atmospheres and even cooler stuff!
The unique pieces and new designers you can find at these pop-up events will update your wardrobe! I especially love this necklace!
2) Make a list of what you’re looking for before you go shop.
Unless you have time to kill, don’t make the mistake of wandering around aimlessly from store to store. If you go through your closet and make a list of what pieces you need, it will make sure you don’t get distracted and end up buying a tenth black cocktail dress instead of the white jeans you really need. Shopping for and buying only things on your list of needs will make your money go farther!
3) Get inspiration from fashion magazines.
Cut out magazine clips of outfits you love or print off inspiration from websites! This is an easy way to put together pieces you already have into brand new looks. You never know how many killer outfits you already have in your closet that you just need one or two items to complete!
The same staple investment pieces can make more outfits than you might think. For instance, I love capes and this white one is perfect in tons of different settings, from day to night.
Plus, if you’re feeling a little sluggish while you’re trying to shop till you drop, check out this fab energy booster: Torii Awake! This herbal tonic improves mind AND body performance so even the laziest shoppers are on their A game!
